New admission requirements for first-year/freshmen applicants to College of Engineering

First-year/freshmen applicants who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents applying to the UI College of Engineering for the Spring 2013 semester or after will have new admission requirements.

To be admitted to the College of Engineering, applicants must:

  • Meet the Minimum High School Course Requirements.
  • Present an ACT math score of 25 or higher, or an SAT math score of 620 or higher.
  • Meet the Regent Admission Index (RAI) score requirement:
    • Iowa residents must present an RAI score of 245 or higher.
    • Residents of other states must present an RAI score of 255 or higher.

Admission requirements for transfer and international applicants remain the same.
