Lucy Krol

From a Resident Assistant at the Mayflower dorm to a Human Resources professional at a Fortune 100 company, Lucy Krol has always been a problem solver.

Krol is a Business Analyst at Intel Corporation. She’s based in Portland, Oregon, and works with clients all over the world. She supports the hiring process for Intel by streamlining and updating tools used to help recruit and hire the brightest candidates around the globe for Intel’s mission. If there’s a problem in the hiring process, Krol finds a way to fix it.

Breanna Griffin

Ms. Griffin is determined that students in Room 9 at Peet Junior High will learn more than improved reading and writing skills. In Ms. Griffin’s classroom, students learn to enjoy learning.

Brenna Griffin is a ninth grade Language Arts instructor in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She teaches three sections of English 9 and two sections of Honors English 9.

“I teach English to students, but I teach students first,” Griffin said. “My primary goal is to move kids from where they are to where they can be. To do that, I have to connect with them first.”

Gregory Bligard

From center-stage to the research lab, Greg Bilgard knows that taking on big roles is the best way to get where he wants to go.

Bligard is currently pursuing his MD and PhD as part of the Medical Scientist Training Program at Washington University in St. Louis. He is in his fourth year of the rigorous program, in which he essentially completes both medical school and graduate school before earning dual doctorates.

This year, he spends most of his time researching and in the lab, studying the electrical properties of the function of retina.
