Coming from a small town, Samantha was eager to try something new and in a new place. After a great amount of research looking into various schools the University of Iowa was the only one to which she decided to apply!

"I was offered some great scholarships and the price was roughly the same price as staying in state. I found out that I was accepted a couple days after I applied and decided to accept!"

Although the University of Iowa is a large research institution and a part of the Big Ten Samantha tells us, "it seems like a small community. I don't feel intimidated by the size of the school and when I come back every year I feel right at home". Samantha has put herself out there and although she never expected to join a sorority she is now on the executive board and expanding her skills through planning and networking with other Greek chapters.

"Have an open mind when coming to the University!" Samantha encourages potential students and says that, "if a girl from a small town in Colorado can do it so can you!"
