"The thing I like most about attending the University of Iowa is the connections that I have made. Whether you live on campus or off campus the connections you make here at UI never go away."

Ainsley chose the University of Iowa because she wanted an institution that could provide opportunities like Big Ten athletics, top-notch research, and medical facilities while still having a very tight-knit community where you can be supported and encouraged in order to be the best version of yourself for not only your time at the University but after you become a Hawkeye alumnus.

Anytime she leaves her dorm and walks on the T. Anne Cleary Walkway, she sees at least two people she knows. This is one of the tight-knit community factors Ainsley likes at Iowa.

One piece of advice she would give to an incoming Hawkeye is to get involved. "It makes your college experience more fulfilling and allows you to meet so many people from different places and different backgrounds who have experienced some of the same and different things as you, which allows you to grow as a person. Also, who knows you might just meet some of your best friends along the way."
