One of Ashley's fondest memories of her first few years at the University of Iowa was watching the sunset by the Old Capitol building, accompanied by new friends, pizza, and cookies! It was the first moment she felt that she truly belonged at Iowa. 

Ashley initially chose to come to the University of Iowa because of the proximity of downtown and campus. Having the two be a crosswalk apart provided her ideal college atmosphere.

Ashley's best piece of advice to incoming students would be to go to your professor's office hours, even if you don't have questions! You never know what sort of connections are waiting for you.
