Aubrey's grandparents went to the University of Iowa and she grew up visiting campus. When she toured other schools, Aubrey felt like something was missing and would always compare them to Iowa. After touring Iowa for a final time, she realized that this campus felt like home. The people here made Aubrey feel like she belonged, and she couldn't picture herself anywhere else.

Her favorite parts about attending the University of Iowa are all of the resources available and the people she's met. Aubrey came in as an Open major and found that everyone was more than willing to help her figure out what she wanted to do. Aubrey was able to meet with her academic advisor multiple times, do informational interviews with professors, and learn about careers from advisors in the Career Center. She was able to declare Pre-Business, but she didn't have to do it alone.

One of Aubrey's most memorable experiences she's had as a student at Iowa was Honors Primetime. It was a program for Honors students that lasted the week before classes started. It was such a great way to meet other students and get to know the campus. A course of Aubrey's was called "Go Outside and Play" and she learned about the importance of the outdoors for your mental health. This program, although it isn't what most of her classes look like now, was a great way to introduce her to the university and calm her nerves.
