Visit Options for Transfer Students
Visiting a campus is the best way to make an informed college choice, so we make it easy for you to meet the people at Iowa, ask questions, and take look around campus.
We offer a variety of visit programs:
- Weekday Visits
We arrange a visit to fit your schedule and focus on your interests. We suggest you visit when classes are in session, even during the summer, so you can check out the residence halls, classes, and academic departments.
- Transfer Days
University staff and student volunteers will guide you through a day of activities designed to meet the specific needs of transfer students.
- Business Visit Day
The Tippie College of Business is hosting a Business Visit Day for prospective first-year and transfer students and their families. In addition to an overview of business admission and academic options, you'll be introduced to faculty who offer their perspective on majors, student learning, and career trends. Current business students also talk about leadership, community service, and the Tippie culture. Lunch is provided, as well as optional tours of campus and the Tippie College of Business.
- Multicultural Visit Day
This program, hosted in the fall by the UI Center for Diversity & Enrichment and the Office of Admissions, offers visitors information about preparing for college along with a look at resources and opportunities for multicultural students. You'll explore our campus, meet with faculty and staff, and hear from current students about their experience at Iowa. Multicultural Visit Day is a great way to learn about the diverse cultural and academic opportunities available at the University of Iowa.
