Applying for Admission

Iowa offers more than 200 areas of studyWe accept applications year-round, and begin admitting new students for the following fall semester July 21. Deadlines vary depending on when you plan to enroll.

Housing & Student Life

Dance Marathon is one of the University's largest student-run fundraisersAll admitted first-year students are encouraged to live on campus in a UI residence hall for convenient access to classes and great opportunities to make new friends.

Costs, Scholarships, & Financial Aid

Students study in the UI Main Library, which is open until 2 a.m. most nightsAll new students are encouraged to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (also known as "the FAFSA"). The results can be used to determine your eligibility for loans, grants, and some scholarships.
