Visit Options for First-Year Students
Visiting a campus is the best way to make an informed college choice, so we make it easy for you to meet the people at Iowa, ask questions, and take look around.
We offer a variety of program options:
- Daily Campus Visits
We arrange a visit to fit your schedule and focus on your interests. We suggest you visit when classes are in session—even during the summer—so you can see the residence halls, classes, and academic departments in action. - Hawkeye Visit Days
These special events typically attract more than 700 prospective students and parents, featuring a full day of activities lead by university staff and student volunteers. - Business Preview Days
In addition to learning about our business programs during a Daily Visit or Hawkeye Visit Day, high school students interested in business can register for a spring or fall Business Preview Day. - Explore Engineering@Iowa
In addition to learning about our engineering programs during a Daily Visit or Hawkeye Visit Day, high school students interested in engineering can register for one of these programs, which are offered on select Saturdays throughout the year. - Multicultural Visit Day
This event is hosted each fall by the UI Center for Diversity & Enrichment and the Office of Admissions to welcome multicultural students and their families to campus and learn about the vast opportunities and resources available.
