Visiting a campus is the best way to make an informed college choice, so we make it easy for you to meet the people at Iowa, ask questions, and take look around.

We offer a variety of program options; check them out and register soon, as space may be limited for some events.

  • You@UI Academic and Student Life Open House
You@UI is the University of Iowa's largest and most in-depth campus visit experience. Join other future Hawkeyes for a day of sample lectures and interactive sessions with world-renowned faculty, student life staff, and current UI students to get a real sense of what it's like to be a University of Iowa student.
  • Daily Campus Visits
We arrange a visit to fit your schedule and focus on your interests. We suggest you visit when classes are in session—even during the summer—so you can see the residence halls, classes, and academic departments in action.
  • Hawkeye Visit Days
These special events typically attract more than 700 prospective students and parents for a first look with a broader overview of the university, featuring a full day of activities led by university staff and student volunteers.
  • Business Preview Days
The Tippie College of Business is hosting a Business Preview Days this fall for prospective students and their families. In addition to an overview of business admission and academic options, you'll be introduced to faculty who offer their perspective on majors, student learning, and career trends. Current business students also talk about leadership, community service, and the Tippie culture. Lunch is provided, as well as optional tours of campus and the Tippie College of Business.
  • Explore Engineering@Iowa
We invite you to spend a Saturday gaining insights into the field of engineering and what makes Iowa's engineering program a great option. You'll tour our engineering research labs, meet faculty members, and interact with current engineering students. Tours of campus and the Seamans Center for the Engineering Arts & Sciences are available; lunch is provided.
  • Multicultural Visit Day
This event is hosted each fall by the UI Center for Diversity & Enrichment and the Office of Admissions to welcome multicultural students and their families to campus and learn about the vast opportunities and resources available.
