Data Science Transfer Tips

Students may earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Data Science. The Data Science BS major incorporates coursework in statistics, mathematics, and computer science and takes a minimum of six semesters to complete. Students should transfer by the end of their first year in order to complete the major in a timely manner.

Students may complete the following courses, if available, before transferring at the end of their first year:

  • MATH:1850 Calculus I
  • MATH:1860 Calculus II
  • MATH:2700 Linear Algebra
  • CS:1210 Computer Science I: Fundamentals
  • CS:2210 Discrete Structures
  • CS:2230 CS II: Data Structures
