Research at Iowa Changes Lives

Undergraduate research at the University of Iowa combines traditional science with creativity that spans all disciplines.

Nearly 1 in 3 Iowa undergraduates have been directly involved in faculty research and gain hands-on experience as early as their first year on campus. Most of our professors are expert researchers in a broad range of fields, making it easy for you to find and connect with someone doing research in an area you're interested in.

See what current students are researching and how they are working to find a cure for diabetes, define the behaviors of a supernova, and study the origins of bias and prejudice in our community.
