Statistics Transfer Tips

  • Students may earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Statistics.  
  • Students should transfer by the end of their first year in order to complete the major in a timely manner.
  • Students should complete the following courses, if available, before transferring.
    • MATH:1850 Calculus I
    • MATH:1860 Calculus II
    • CS:1210 Computer Science I: Fundamentals
  • Prospective Statistics BS majors should consult the Statistics website.
  • Use the Online Equivalency Guide to determine appropriate transfer course equivalencies.
  • Students must complete the fourth level of a single world language as needed for Iowa's General Education Program.
  • Prospective transfer students should contact the University of Iowa Office of Admissions, 319-335-1566, for information about applying.
