Biography

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I am terrified of squirrels to the point where I will cross the street to avoid coming within three feet of them.

My favorite thing about working in Admissions

I love connecting with students and families and being a part of their college admissions journey during the pivotal point when they decide where they will commit to growing into the best version of themselves. As a recent graduate, I am so grateful for the opportunities and experiences I had during my four years at the University of Iowa, and love getting to share a glimpse into what we have to offer.

Iowa City “Must Do and Must See” Locations

Seeing a show at Hancher Auditorium, football at Kinnick stadium, an evening walk by the river, sunset at the Pentacrest, and/or a women’s basketball game. When the weather is nice, dinner in one of downtown Iowa City restaurant’s patios followed by Molly’s cupcakes. The list goes on because Iowa City is such a fantastic place to explore.

What makes Iowa such a great place?

Despite being eight hours away from my hometown, I have always felt right at home in Iowa City because of the people and community. Whether it’s the Iowa student who held the door for me one minute after I arrived on campus, or the professors writing countless letters of recommendation and supporting their students’ dreams, someone is always willing to lend a helping hand to a fellow Hawkeye and show their Hawkeye pride.
