Start your weekend at the University of Iowa. From a campus walking tour to a downtown crawl, music lovers, foodies, art fans, and everyone in between will find something to love.

Friday Night and Saturday Morning Live is for students in high school who are interested in learning more about the University of Iowa.

This visit will kick off with an Iowa Overview, followed by a walking tour of campus where guides share their student experience. The tour will conclude with a stroll around Iowa City’s award-winning downtown, featuring stops at selected restaurants for food or coffee sampling. We are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions during this event.

  • Welcome and Iowa Overview session, including information about admission, housing, financial aid and student life.
  • Campus walking tour including our residence hall showroom
  • Downtown Iowa City food crawl (Friday nights)
  • Downtown Iowa City coffee crawl (Saturday mornings)
  • Enjoy the Iowa City Summer of the Arts performances (Friday nights) or the Iowa City Farmers Market (Saturday mornings).
