Sport Media and Culture Transfer Tips
Students can earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sport Media and Culture.
45 s.h. of work is required for the major: 30 s.h. in Sport Media and Culture and 15 s.h. in a secondary area or a minor in another department. At least 24 s.h. of credit for the major must be earned at The University of Iowa.
Transfer students with an AA degree from an Iowa or Illinois community college will enter the university having fulfilled all of the General Education CORE Program requirements (except World Language and Understanding Cultural Perspectives) in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The relationship between sport and the media has never been so pervasive, and the sport studies track provides a strong academic foundation for students interested in exploring that relationship within the field of sport journalism or sports information.
Sport Management in Sport Media and Culture
The sport studies track provides a strong academic foundation for students interested in the field of sport management. A Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management; or an individually designed concentration of courses in business.
