Statistics Transfer Tips
- Students may earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Statistics.
- Students should transfer by the end of their first year in order to complete the major in a timely manner.
- Students should complete the following courses, if available, before transferring.
- MATH:1850 Calculus I
- MATH:1860 Calculus II
- CS:1210 Computer Science I: Fundamentals
- Transfer students with an AA degree from an Iowa or Illinois community college will enter the university having fulfilled all of the General Education CORE Program requirements (except World Language and Understanding Cultural Perspectives) in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
- Prospective Statistics BS majors should consult the Statistics website.
- Use the Online Equivalency Guide to determine appropriate transfer course equivalencies.
- Complete the World Language requirement through one of the following pathways. The requirement may be satisfied through high school coursework:
- Fourth level of a single world language
- Third level plus a world language and cultural exploration course
- Second level of two languages
