Bachelor of Applied Studies Transfer Tips

Students must have received an associate degree to be admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Studies (BAS) program.
Students who have received an Associate of Arts degree from an Iowa two-year institution participating in articulation agreements with the University of Iowa are considered to have satisfied all requirements of the BAS Core Requirements Program, except for "Business/Management."
Students are encouraged to complete the following Core Requirements before enrolling in the BAS online degree program:
1. Rhetoric
2. Quantitative and Formal Reasoning
3. Social Science
4. Values and Society
5. Business/Management (Accounting, Business, Finance, Management, Marketing, Management Science, Entrepreneurship)

The BAS is designed to be completed entirely online. Both synchronous and asynchronous online course options are available.
Most courses offer exams at our Iowa City Campus Testing Center or use an online proctoring examination service. A small number may require proctored exams.
