College credit will be awarded for General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Subsidiary (AS Level) and Advanced Level (A Level) certificates from the following providers:

• AQA
• Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE)
• Council for Curriculum and Examinations Assessment (CCEA)
• Learning Resource Network (LRN)
• Pearson Edexcel
• Oxford, Cambridge, and RSA Exams (OCR)
• Welsh Joint Examinations Committee (WJEC)
• Other Advanced Level providers (please contact the Office of Admissions for further information)

The following criteria will be used for awarding college credit:

• 8 semester hours (s.h.) of elective credit will be awarded for each A Level with a score of C or higher. Exceptions are noted in the table below.
• 4 s.h. of elective credit will be awarded for each AS Level with a score of C or higher. Exceptions are noted in the table below.
• A maximum of 8 s.h. of credit is awarded in a single subject if a student extends the AS Level exam to an A Level.
• Some A Level exams fulfill General Education Program requirements for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, as noted in the chart below. Credit is awarded in semester hour (s.h.) units.
• A score of C or higher for any A Level world language not listed below (other than English) may be used to fulfill the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences General Education Program: World Languages component.
• Credit awarded is subject to collegiate limits for credit by examination. For the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, a maximum of 30 s.h. of credit by exam may be counted toward the hours needed for graduation.
• Note the name of the certificates below are for Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). Credit will be awarded for equivalent certificates from other providers.
