The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is the main undergraduate college at Iowa, and works closely with the Tippie College of Business, College of Engineering, College of Education, and other UI colleges.
In order to be admitted, you must:
- Meet the high school course requirements.
- Meet the Regent Admission Index (RAI) score requirement of 245 or higher for Iowa residents, 255 or higher for residents of other states.
Students may be admitted to this college without a test score.
International Student admission decisions are based on high school courses, GPA, and meeting the English proficiency requirement. ACT/SAT scores are optional but are encouraged for additional merit scholarship consideration.
If you took the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET), admission requirements are a minimum score of 15 on each of the five subtests (Language Arts – Reading, Language Arts – Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science) and a minimum total score of 75. Students who do not meet the minimum requirements will be considered on an individual basis.
