Offered daily in the morning or afternoon
Iowa Overview Session: this session includes information on admission, housing, student life, and financial aid for prospective students and their families.
We currently offer two different Iowa Overview sessions - one for admitted students and one for high school juniors and younger. Please register for the correct session based on your admission status.
75-minute campus walking tour.
Residence hall tour.
Complimentary lunch in a residence hall Market Place cafeteria (during the academic year when classes are in session).
Optional sessions to explore academic areas of interest.
Choose from various optional activities, available on select dates and times. If you don't see an option you are looking for, select a different date or call us at 319-335-1566. Advance notice is required for individual appointment requests. Academic group sessions and individual appointments are not available on Saturdays.
Students interested in the University of Iowa Honors Program may choose to attend an informational session offered most weekdays. The University of Iowa Honors Program welcomes outstanding students who want to enrich their college experience with engaging course work, exciting experiences outside of class, and opportunities to make great friends.
We invite you to have a complimentary lunch when classes are in session during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Downtown Iowa City and the Iowa Memorial Union also offer many meal options for you to explore on your own.
The University of Iowa offers students opportunities to attend either a group session with a specific academic college/department or schedule an appointment with a specific department while on campus. Select your session when you make your reservation online or contact us directly to schedule an appointment.
You may be able to meet with a representative from Admissions, Academic Support and Retention, the Center for Diversity & Enrichment, the Office of Student Financial Aid, the Iowa Center for Research by Undergraduates, Student Disability Services, the Pomerantz Career Center, Military & Veteran Services, Iowa Hillel, or the Pride Alliance Center, among others.

Health and Safety Guidelines
The University of Iowa strongly encourages face masks in all classroom settings and during in-person office hours.
University policy continues to require masks in health care settings and on CAMBUS. These protocols apply to visitors as well as to faculty, staff, and students, and are in accordance with federal law and Board of Regents, State of Iowa guidelines.
Forgot your mask? No problem, you can find disposable masks and hand sanitizer in all campus buildings.
