Accept our offer of admission
Pay our $325 acceptance fee as soon as possible. The deadline to accept admission and pay the acceptance fee is May 1.
The fee must be paid before you can make Orientation reservations through your Admissions Profile in MyUI.
The acceptance fee is refundable prior to May 1 for summer and fall applicants (prior to November 15 for spring applicants).Set up your HawkID
You will receive an email with instructions on setting up your HawkID.
Monitor Your Admissions Profile in MyUI
Please continue to monitor your Admissions Profile in MyUI for important communications from the university now that you have been admitted.
Apply for University Housing
Beginning in January, you can apply for University Housing online through your Admissions Profile in MyUI. Be sure to consider Living Learning Communities, too!
Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships
Once admitted, file your 2025-26 FAFSA on the web as soon as possible once available in the fall. Priority consideration for need-based scholarships and grants awarded by the UI Office of Student Financial Aid will be given to students whose FAFSA record is received by the University of Iowa on or before Feb. 1.

Complete your online placement tests
Placement tests should be completed at least two weeks before attending orientation.
Make a reservation to attend Orientation Programs
All new incoming undergraduate students are required to attend Orientation, where you will meet with an academic advisor and register for your first semester of classes. Submit your orientation program reservation through your Admissions Profile in MyUI. You get invited only if you accept our offer of admission by paying the $325 acceptance fee.
