"I chose Iowa because it has the best creative writing program in the country, and it has a college town feel with a small campus that was appealing to me."

Solenn chose the University of Iowa because the Creative Writing program is one of the best in the country.

She is a Resident Assistant and loves being a mentor to first-year students. She's also Editor-in-Chief of Broken Clock Magazine, which has given her lots of publishing experience.

One of her most memorable experiences as a student was watching Caitlin Clark break the record at Carver.

Her advice for incoming students is simple: Go out and do things even if it's scary - that's how I met friends and found my passions. Never think that you can't do something; have the mentality of "Why not?"
