"I like how nice all the students and community members are to each other. It seems like in Iowa City, everyone either attends or works for the school, or works over at the hospital. Because of this, it gives us all a connection to each other, and makes us all want to look out for one another!"
Benjamin toured Iowa during his junior year of high school and felt an immediate connection. "I then toured again my senior year and knew this is where I was meant to be." He knew that Iowa was going to be the place where he'd be the happiest, most successful, thrive the most, and get the best education for his major (Pre-PA, since we have one of the top PA programs in the country!). He absolutely loves it here and is glad he chose to attend!
He's always been fascinated with medicine and working in healthcare, but he also has an itch to travel the world and learn about different cultures. Global Health Studies fills both of his desires!
His advice for incoming students is to find a place where you find a connection. Look for the place where you’re going to be the happiest, be the most successful, and thrive.
