Delanie chose to study Management because she thrived in her management courses during her first year at the University, feeling that her passions aligned with the major from a young age. Her favorite major-specific course so far has been Introduction to Management.

Born and raised a Hawkeye, Delanie was captivated by the University long before she understood what college was all about. From cheering on Iowa Athletics to visiting family in the University of Iowa Health Care Center, she was consistently impressed. After touring the campus, she felt an instant connection, and it truly felt like home from day one.

As a second-year student, Delanie has participated in various organizations, including the Salt Youth Group, Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, and the Snowboarding and Skiing Club, while also working as an Athletics Crewhawk and campus tour guide. These activities provide her with a vibrant community and ample opportunities to stay engaged.

One of her most memorable experiences was working as a Crewhawk during the Iowa vs. Ohio State basketball game, where Caitlin Clark broke the record for the most points scored in a college career. Having floor seats for that historic game was an unforgettable experience.

Her advice to incoming students is straightforward: “Get involved! Join clubs and talk to the people sitting next to you in class. Your experience is what you make of it, so take full advantage of every opportunity!”
