Mary loves the community and school spirit. Every professor, classmate, and supervisor is so supportive, hands-on, and helpful. She found her community here early on and has felt encouraged from her very first semester all the way to student teaching.

She has been a member of the Dance Club for three years, serving on the executive team as both treasurer and secretary for the past two. She loves connecting with people who share her passion for dance and helping organize the showcase, which donates its proceeds to support local dancers with disabilities.

One of her most memorable experiences was being a "freshman during the Caitlin Clark era." Carver was packed, watch parties spilled across campus, and the whole student body was locked in. "Feeling that kind of collective hype made campus feel like one giant family."

Her biggest advice is to keep your door open in your residence hall. All of her best friends lived on her freshman year floor! Say yes to new experiences, too. You never know which club or event will connect you with the most amazing people.
