Her fascination with environmental issues and problem-solving led her to pursue Environmental Policy and Planning while adding complementary minors and certificates that broaden her perspective.
Emma serves as co-president of Habitat for Humanity at Iowa, where she has been able to continue a lifelong commitment to service while building relationships within the Iowa City community.
Some of her favorite memories come from the fall semester each year, when football games, cooler weather, community events, and the excitement of a new academic year create a uniquely special atmosphere.
One of the biggest surprises in her academic journey was adding an Environmental Science minor and discovering she could excel in coursework she once thought was outside her comfort zone.
Emma's advice is to give things time. Growth, friendships, opportunities, and success often arrive when you allow yourself the patience to let them develop.
