As someone who hopes to become a physician, Hannah chose Biology, Psychology, and the Pre-Medicine track because she wants to build trusting relationships with patients and make a positive impact on their lives.

Hannah serves on the Volunteer Student Leader Board at UI Health Care, is Programming Chair for Phi Delta Epsilon, and works as a research assistant in a neurology laboratory. These experiences have allowed her to serve others, lead her peers, and gain valuable research experience.

One of her most memorable Iowa experiences has been volunteering at the hospital, where she has built relationships with patients, staff, and fellow volunteers while contributing to the university's mission of changing medicine and changing lives.

A standout academic experience was synthesizing acetaminophen in Organic Chemistry Lab. Seeing a medication she personally uses come to life through chemistry made the experience especially memorable.

Hannah encourages incoming students to get involved and keep exploring until they find their niche. Some of her closest friendships and greatest experiences came from opportunities she never expected.
