Coming into college decisions, Lauren knew she wanted a big school with the ability to make campus feel like home and a school where she could make my college experience my own. She remembers that her acceptance letter said "Welcome to the family" and felt so welcomed. "They saw me as more than a number and wanted me for who I am and what I could bring to the University."

She loves the amount of resources and support that is given to students. "The staff at Iowa truly cares about their students and has implemented so many systems and tools for our benefit." Any problems that she has run into or anything that was stressful had a website or line of support to contact.

Her advice to incoming Hawkeyes would be to "put yourself out there and be open to any new experiences! Your time at college is what you make of it, so be bold and try things you are unsure of!"
