She is passionate about language education and believes learning another language broadens communication skills, cultural understanding, and personal growth. Pursuing Spanish and World Language Education allows her to help future students gain those same benefits.

One of her favorite classes has been Intro Workshop: Creative Writing in Spanish, which challenged her language skills while allowing her creativity to shine.

Lauren has been highly involved in Campus Symphony Orchestra, the Honors Program, Honors Peer Mentoring, and Intro to Honors mentoring. These experiences have helped her build community while developing leadership skills and supporting fellow students.

Through extensive classroom fieldwork required by her major, Lauren has already spent over 100 hours teaching in local schools. These experiences have built her confidence and helped prepare her for a future career in education.

Lauren encourages future students to immerse themselves in new communities, meet new people, and embrace experiences outside their comfort zones.
