For Joshua, Data Science is the perfect blend of math and computer science—two areas he has always been deeply interested in. He enjoys problem-solving and creative thinking, which makes this field a natural fit. The University of Iowa stood out to him not only because it was one of the originators of Data Science, but also because he has friends studying nearby, making the transition feel more connected. As an international student, Joshua has embraced opportunities to get involved, currently serving as a member of the Taiwanese Student Association. While it may seem like a small club, he believes every organization matters, and joining them is an important step toward building a strong future. His most memorable moment so far has been orientation, where the sheer number of events and opportunities impressed him.
