"When looking at schools, I ultimately chose Iowa for the feeling of home. I come from a small town of two hundred and hoped to find a place where I could be a little fish in a big pond. I ultimately found that here, but also the sense of community through the friendships I've made on campus."
Although she always knew she wanted to pursue law, Maggie discovered her passion for Political Science after meeting professors during an Admitted Student Day event. Their enthusiasm for the field helped her find the perfect academic fit.
Maggie has been involved with the Office of Admissions, the Honors Program, the Newman Catholic Student Center, Mock Trial, Phi Alpha Delta, and Pi Sigma Alpha. These experiences have helped her build leadership skills while exploring her future legal career.
One of her favorite Iowa memories has been spending football game days on the field while helping recruit future Hawkeyes through the Office of Admissions.
Maggie's advice is to step outside of your comfort zone. Some of the best friendships, opportunities, and experiences come from taking chances and trying something new.
