Savanna loves the combination of finance and marketing because marketing is about the creative value of a product, and finance is understanding its value. She also had wonderful professors within the Tippie College of Business who have helped solidify her major choice as she completed the core classes. Rhetoric is a general education requirement for the College of Business, and she never expected to enjoy it as much as she did.

She is a member of the National Retail Federation and the American Marketing Association. These two organizations assist with professional development but also allow her to meet like-minded individuals who have similar goals. She loves being able to go on professional development trips and work closely with Tippie professors.

She chose the University of Iowa because she felt at home the second she stepped onto campus. The students she saw looked happy and excited to be here. Now, she can say that is completely true.
