Tram chose the University of Iowa because of its chemical engineering program. She also liked the location and wanted to live in Iowa City.

Outside of the classroom, Tram is involved in the Society of Women Engineers, Baja Racing, and the American Institute for Chemical Engineers. She appreciates how all of these organizations help her understand and learn more about her major.

Her time in the dorms was also influential. Tram met a lot of people, including her roommate, who is still a close friend.

Her advice for first-year students? Don’t procrastinate.

Tram is an International Ambassador for the University of Iowa Office of Admissions. If you’re a prospective international student who has any questions about life at Iowa, please feel free to reach out to her via email at tram-le@uiowa.edu.
