Sofia chose the University of Iowa because of the Nursing program and the resources the University offers. She loves the atmosphere of Iowa. Even though it is a Big 10 school, she feels like the campus does not feel that big, and she always sees someone she knows.

Her most memorable experience was her first wave to the Children's Hospital. She had never been to an Iowa football game before her freshman year. "During our freshman kickoff, we got to wave to the Children's Hospital with our flashlights. It was such a touching moment that I will never forget."

Her biggest piece of advice is to try everything. It does not hurt to get involved in something or try something new.
