"I love how welcoming professors are to students. They are really there to make our learning experience as impactful as they can."

Area(s) of study
Hometown
Blencoe, IA

When looking at schools, Maggie ultimately chose Iowa for the feeling of home. She comes from a small town of two hundred and was hoping to find a place where she could be a little fish in a big pond. She ultimately found that here, but also the sense of community through the friendships she's made on campus. After that, everything seemed to fall into place, whether it was her area of study, the honors program, or with the credits she had coming in from high school, being able to graduate in three years, Iowa truly was the place for her.

Maggie chose law because she has a deep desire to help others in her career, and coupled with her love of public speaking, she hopes to one day be an advocate and exercise both of these at once.

Her most memorable experience was at Kickoff at Kinnick her freshman year, when she participated in her first Hawkeye Wave. "This moment was very special for me because it was when I truly felt like I'd become a Hawkeye."
