"One thing I like about attending Iowa is the proximity to the College of Law, the downtown area and all the fun, unique establishments, and the Political Science Department!"
"My tour guide did an excellent job highlighting opportunities and resources for his degree path, no matter how much it changes or varies during his four years," Matthew says. He also has fallen in love with the walkability of the campus and how much he can see himself having fun while obtaining his degree.
He loves studying our governmental systems and how the administration works and hopes to be an actor in the legal system to help those in need of justice, seeking it by understanding their government. For Statistics, he is a fan of analysis and wants to know more about understanding research methods.
He is the current deputy city liaison, and he has experience working with the city council in his hometown and thinks it's important to connect students to their local government.
He says that one of his most memorable moments was the first game he ever attended, the Iowa v. Wisconsin game in 2022!
