"I really like the community at the University of Iowa. I have made life-long connections that I will forever cherish. Iowa has pushed me out of my comfort zone and given me opportunities I never thought I would have. I also love that everywhere you go on campus, you are guaranteed to see a friendly face."

Taylor has always known she wanted to pursue a career in the health field, and after taking multiple courses in the Health and Human Physiology Department, she was really drawn to the behavioral aspects of medicine and health. These classes focus on lifestyle factors/behaviors that can help promote health and prevent disease before it is too late.

She chose the University of Iowa for a multitude of reasons. She loves that she is in close proximity to home, so it's never too far to see her family. She also loves the Big Ten atmosphere without feeling like she is on a huge campus.

Her most memorable experience was her first football game. "It was a surreal experience to be in Kinnick for the first time cheering on the Hawks!"

She took lifestyle medicine as an elective for her major, and after taking the course, it completely changed her outlook on what she wanted to do. It prompted her to take other classes, such as Health Coaching, and now she is interning as a student health coach in the community!
