Meaghan minoring in Gender, Health, and Health Care Equity says that she was extremely bad at the college decision-making process, but the reason she chose Iowa was larger than any fact or statistic. She, ultimately, chose to attend the University of Iowa because of the tangible experiences she could have. "I got involved! I explored! I found my people! And I have found my home!

She is a member of Dance Marathon, which is their largest student organization. They help raise money for children fighting pediatric cancer, and "it is always so overwhelming to see the impact they can have on these children and their families' lives."

The most memorable experience that she has had as a student here at the University of Iowa was probably her first Iowa football game. She was amazed by the camaraderie and the shared love for the game and their school.

Her biggest advice would be to put yourself out there. Make an effort to get involved, and meet your professors, and find your people. You will be so glad you did!
