Jessica has always been fascinated by the connection between psychology and business, particularly how psychological principles apply in corporate environments. Blending these two fields in her studies has been a fun and engaging experience for her.

When it came time to choose a college, Jessica knew she wanted a campus that felt like home. The combination of a classic college campus feel and the convenience of being able to step across the street into Iowa City—with its charming shops, coffee spots, and restaurants—was a perfect fit for her. No other school she visited offered that balance.

Jessica is a proud member of several campus organizations, including the Campus Activities Board, where she enjoys working with a lively group of people to organize and attend events. She also serves on the Student Advisory Board for the Pentacrest Museums, an experience she describes as both fun and unique, especially when hosting events like Trivia Night. "Getting involved on campus was one of the best decisions I made in college," she says. Through these activities, she’s made countless friends and strengthened her sense of community.

Jessica’s most memorable experience as a Hawkeye is waving to the children at the hospital from Kinnick Stadium. "It’s one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve ever had. I always take a moment to look at every small hand waving back, thinking of how hard these kids and their families are fighting every day."

Her advice to future students? Get involved! "Taking the chance to participate in campus activities elevated my college experience beyond just attending classes. It not only builds your resume and gives you valuable experience, but it also introduces you to amazing people. I can’t imagine what my college experience would have been like if I hadn’t taken that leap."
