"The people you meet here are amazing. Whether that be other students or the citizens of Iowa City, it's just such a welcoming community."

Juliana wants to help people, and she has always been passionate about mental health. "I think the criminal justice system is also very interesting, so I wanted to take more classes related to that field."

She is a part of "Paws," which aims to get more therapy animals involved on campus. There are many ways to cope with issues in our lives, and being with animals is definitely helpful. She has also loved going to sporting events like football and women's basketball. "The student section is always fun and gives a sense of real community here."

Her advice would be to choose the college that makes you feel the most at home. When coming to campus, make sure to take advantage of every opportunity offered to you. "Do the activities the first week, keep going to fun events throughout the years, and make the most of your experience here. You can meet great people and make great memories."
